remember that these recipes are only guidelines, feel free to experiment and
substitute. I find that keeping notes when I try new recipes is very helpful
and it will allow you to tweak until it’s perfect for you. Also always try a new recipe on yourself

Creative Mussels
- 500 g string pasta, spaghetti, linguini or
fettucini etc.
- 1 lb of mussels
- 2 tsp. Creative Affair
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1/4 cup white or cider
vinegar
- 1 lemon, sliced
- salt and pepper to taste
- dill (2-3 stems fresh or
1/2 tsp dry, not powder)
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3-4 whole, dry hot chili
peppers or a sprinkle chili flakes
- wash mussels and set aside
in ice cold water
- in a large skillet or pot,
big enough for you mussel, remember the shells will open and you will need
to cook covered, all the ingredients except the mussels and sauté
over medium heat
- stir and cook for 4-8
minutes
- drain the mussels and toss
into the pot, turn heat to high and cover with a lid
- cook until shells are fully
open and liquid reduces, 15 minuets
- cook pasta as per direction
on package
- remove dill stems before
adding pasta
- drain pasta and add to
cooked mussels
You can serve this as a main dish with a salad as your side
dish or serve as an appetizer, 2-4 mussels and a slice of bread.
