Always remember that these recipes are only guidelines, feel free to experiment and substitute. Creative Mussels

 

 

  1. wash mussels and set aside in ice cold water
  2. in a large skillet or pot, big enough for you mussel, remember the shells will open and you will need to cook covered, all the ingredients except the mussels and sauté over medium heat
  3. stir and cook for 4-8 minutes
  4. drain the mussels and toss into the pot, turn heat to high and cover with a lid
  5. cook until shells are fully open and liquid reduces, 15 minuets
  6. your liquid will thicken

serve with French or Italian bread to sop up the juice

 

You can serve this as a main dish with a salad as your side dish or serve as an appetizer, 2-4 mussels and a slice of bread.
