remember that these recipes are only guidelines, feel free to experiment and
substitute. I find that keeping notes when I try new recipes is very helpful
and it will allow you to tweak until it’s perfect for you. Also always try a new recipe on yourself
first before trying it out on your guests to ensure success. If for any reason my recipes do not turn out,

Creative Bean Soup
- 1 cup mixed beans (Chick
peas, red & white kidney, black beans)
- 3-4 tsp. Creative Affair
- 1-2 bay leaves
- 3 tbs. oil (Canola or
Olive)
- 6 cups of water*
- 2-3 green onions, chopped
- salt and pepper to taste
- for canned beans, wash and
drain; dry beans should be prepare per directions on the package
- in a large enough pot to
hold all the ingredients add oil and beans
- sauté oven medium-low heat
until tender
- add Creative Affair, stir
and sauté an additional 2-3 minutes
- add water and bay leaves, raise
heat to high to bring to a boil
- add salt and pepper to
taste
- reduce heat and simmer to
reduce water to achieve desired taste
Garnish with chopped scallions. For
heat add a few drops of hot sauce.
* You can substitute chicken stock for water, but taste
before adding salt.
